From the End of the Line to a Brand-New Beginning—Hope Has a New Address

Folsom was once known as the end of the line — the place where broken stories stayed broken.
Today, it is becoming the place where lives are restored, families are rebuilt, and new futures begin.

Crisis Can’t Wait Neither Can We

Crisis Can’t Wait
Neither Can We

For generations, Folsom was known as the end of the line. A place tied to prison gates, despair, and broken stories that stayed broken. But you are helping write a different story. Today, the need is greater than ever:

• More than 3,100 people came to Powerhouse for crisis support last year.
• 59 beds are already full in our residential recovery programs, and the waiting list keeps growing each month.
• 1,400+ therapy sessions were provided, but countless others had to be turned away because there wasn’t enough space.

But now, your impact is reaching its limits. We are bursting at the seams.

That’s why you are helping build a new campus — right in the heart of your community. Because of you, what was once a city of endings has become a city of new beginnings. Your generosity breaks cycles of abuse, addiction, and poverty — lighting the way to healing and opportunity.

We have closed escrow on the properties. Your generosity has ensured that these newly purchased properties can now begin preparations to welcome those in need.

With your support, $500,000 will transform these facilities into spaces for counseling, recovery, meals, housing navigation, employment training, and much more. This will help us purchase essential equipment and furnishings, including commercial kitchen applicances, tables, and chairs to host up to 400 people at a time.

PHASE TWO

In phase two, we will raise $750,000 for construction costs in order to transform both facilities to meet our needs.

PHASE THREE

In phase three, we will raise a final $1M to fully occupy the facilities debt free.

By helping cover the $1.4M shortfall, you secure a debt-free future for the campus—so every resource can go directly to serving lives instead of servicing loans.

your invitation

This is your opportunity to leave a legacy of transformation. Your decision today ensures that when someone in crisis walks through those doors, they encounter compassion, dignity, and the tools to truly begin again. Together, with your gift, cycles will be broken, families will be restored, and futures will be rebuilt.

A MESSAGE

A MESSAGE from nancy atchley

I am so thankful for your generous support of the future campus of the Powerhouse Community Outreach and Training Center. Over the last 30+ years, Powerhouse has gained the reputation of being a place where anything is possible. Where people trapped in cycles of addiction, abuse, incarceration, and homelessness can find hope, freedom, and the support to completely change their lives.

You have helped to make this possible, and because of this, I am eternally grateful for you.

It is no secret that our country is experiencing a sharp rise in mental illness, addiction, violence, and homelessness. What you may not know is that, at the same time, there is an even greater cry for help. We are seeing record numbers of people who genuinely want to stop these cycles in their own lives and make sure their children never have to experience them. They are coming, and with your partnership, we will be ready to give them the help they so desperately want.

I am so honored to be on this journey with you to continue to make Powerhouse a place where anything is possible.
