About the Leadership College: 
The Powerhouse Leadership College is a two-year residential internship program for young men and women ages 18-24. This program is dedicated to presenting hope, healing, and on-the-job training to equip young leaders to impact generations. Here you will experience a healthy community, receive paid job experience, develop your skills through professional mentoring, cultivate critical leadership skills, and see God at work in your life and the lives of others. THERE IS GREATNESS IN YOU no matter your history, where you’ve come from, or whatever obstacles you’ve faced.

Position Purpose/Summary: 
The Leadership College Life Coach, In conjunction with the Leadership college director, will help our students through the six phases of our program. Life coaching covers a wide variety of topics such as budgeting, nutrition, medical, boundaries, goal setting, housing options, counseling referrals, and more. Just about anything you can think an 18-year-old would need living away from home for the first time. This position will also lead a weekly life skills class and place students with professional mentors.

Life Coaching:
A good life coach is empathetic, caring, organized, and has strong relationship-building skills. Life coaches understand and know about different resources available in the community. They also have excellent documentation, time management, and multitasking skills. They will meet with each student in the leadership college for a weekly 30–60-minute meeting to offer support and accomplish life and programmatic goals.

Professional Mentors

• Assign each student with a professional mentor in our network.
• Manage and equip volunteer mentors.

• In conjunction with our mentor team facilitate a weekly 1.5-hour life skills class covering a wide variety of topics. (Such as personal finance, nutrition, budgeting, boundaries, professional exposure and more…)

• Work in tandem with student life team to provide well rounded support for each resident.
